It’s natural to have questions as you’re searching for the right therapist for yourself or your child. Take a moment to read through these commonly asked questions but also don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have.
Initial Call + Fees
Once you reach out to me, I will schedule a time to speak with you over the phone. We will discuss your concerns, answer any questions, and schedule an intake interview. There is no charge for this call as it gives us both a chance to make sure it’s a good match or to make sure your child will benefit from an assessment. At this time, I will also provide information about my fee schedule and billing procedures.
Insurance
I currently do not accept insurance. However, I can provide you with what is called a “superbill” that you are able to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement of out-of-network services. I strongly encourage you to contact your insurance provider to make sure you understand what portion of your therapy/assessment will be reimbursed.
Cancellations + No Shows
Therapy works best when it is frequent and consistent. Part of your plan will likely include weekly sessions. Please be aware that because your weekly session is a time saved specifically for you, you will be required to cover the cost of missed appointments with less than 24 hours’ advanced notice. This fee cannot be reimbursed by insurance.
